Information for International players
The organizers of the Porsche Tennis Cup has set a clear goal to stage the best Swedish indoor tennis tournament outside the if… Stockholm Open which is of course on the ATP Tour.
To do that:
- we keep a high level of service for the players.
- we try hard to submit accurate information before and during the tournament.
- we pay the biggest prizemoney on the Swedish Winter Tour: 5.300 Euro (50.000 SEK). Men’s winner receives 12.000 SEK and the ladies’ winner receives 8.000 SEK.
The tournament is held at Borås Tenniscenter in the city of Borås with a population of 100.000. Borås is only 25 min from Gothenburg Airport Landvetter and has excellent access to Gothenburg with a quick motorway and frequent trains and buses. Courtesy cars will pick up at hotels, the railway station and other places within the city. Accomodation in very good city hotels is offered at discount prizes and should be reserved soonest by the players themselves.
Borås Tenniscenter has 8 carpet courts (Bolltex). Qualifying takes place 27-29th of January and the main tournament with 24 men and 24 ladies is played 3-5th of February. Seedings and cuts will be based upon the Swedish Ranking. International players will be given a ranking based upon the information available. Last entry date for the Men’s and Ladies’ singles is: 20th of January. There is also a big entry in the juniors’ section which usually shows the best young players in country.
